Product Description

Strike beans are one of the heaviest yielding bush beans on the market. Continuous setting feature protects grower from stress, better than concentrated set types. Medium green, 12cm round pod with good disease tolerance. The beans have a very pleasant texture when cooked, and they maintain their flavour after freezing for winter use. Perfect for the home garden, and favoured by large scale producers for their ability to ship and store well.  Try growing Strike in larger containers like half barrels or even our garden peas.  Excellent flavor that is very popular with commercial growers. Beans should be picked while the pods still snap, and the beans have not filled the pod out completely. Beans get tough and stringy if allowed to grow too big. If beans are picked when they are ready, the plants will continue producing for several weeks. When harvesting, use two hands to hold the bean and pull it from the stem, yanking it off the stem with one hand can often damage the plant.
